Comment: Been there three times. The first two, we loved it. The last time our sandwiches took 25 minutes to arrive even though the place was almost empty. When we asked the waiter about it he was brusque and unsympathetic, like he was doing us a favor and we were stupid. Twenty-five minutes for a sandwich? We both had the feeling he was one step away from spitting in our food. Maybe he did. It wasn't very good. Why pay good money to be treated like that?

Comment: Hemmingway's Bistro is my favorite restaurant in Oak Park! The service is gracious but not over the top. The atomsphere is comfortable but chic and the martinis are the best anywhere. The chef always strives to have the freshest ingredients and pairs them with great side dishes that compliment the main course. The desserts are divine, especially the creme brulee...creamy and delicious. For a special occasion you can't beat this great dining experience!
